'In the beginning was' exhibition
With 'In the beginning was the', TU Delft Library presents, for the first time, the full spectrum of negation work of ArtScience practitioner, Katarina Petrović to challenge your notions—of computation, of knowledge, of natural language.
Petrović, an artist hailing from Serbia and based in The Hague, has developed an extensive body of work related to algorithmically-generated language. Her work unleashes algorithms on culture-defining texts like the Bible and Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species' (negated to 'The End of Individuals') to reveal biased truths and uncover infinite revisions.
She also collaborates with TU Delft Chemical Engineering Professor Stephen Picken ('LC-5CB') as part of the Crossing Parallels program and, in tandem with this exhibition, has recently embarked on a project with QuTech researchers to make a quantum computer speak a dead language.
Discover these works. Disrupt your models. Pave the way for infinite possibilities in the TU Delft Library.
